Lap Full

Yesterday Becky & her three kids came over so I could help her do some thinking on how to change a pattern. This is what I ended up doing as Sarah saw the "new" books Grandpa & Grandma had gotten while on vactaion & she wanted me to read to her. I was already holding William but that didn't stop the two girls from finding a corner on Grandma's lap to hear the story. It was interesting for me to see the book between heads but we did get the story read. I think we did two or three this way. It was a fun way to spend my birthday too. Wish all the grandkids could have been here too.

Vacation

We had to use us some points of our timeshare deal, so we found a place close to home. It was a bit over an hour away. This is a picture of the place we stayed that seemed to be out in the boon docks. It was a nice timeshare but we got a bit bored there as normally we like to do things in the general area. There was nothing close by to this place. We had to go to Big Rapids to do any shopping, which we did do. But we found ourselves feeling like we'd rather be at home so we went home a day early. We did get to see turkeys right outside the window & deer near by too.

Snow

I measured the front yard on the 15th & we still have 6 inches of snow on the flat spots & more in the piles from shoveling. We usually have a lot of robins that stop in in our back yard some time between March 6th & March 17th. We have not seen robins here yet. We have seen them in other spot in the area but not our back yard yet.
