Well I have finally gotten caught up on the canning of dry beans. I think all totaled I have canned nearly 100 quarts of beans. They are not all ours but the bigger amount belong to our daughters but I offered to can them for them.
Actually we are getting a bit tired of beans in this & beans in that. I had quite a few that didn't seal that we are trying to use up. But is so much handier to have them canned than to have to soak them a head of time if you want to make something with beans.
Wow, that's amazing! I'll have to try my hand at canning again this year. :)I agree it is more convenient. But then I need to get better at meal planning too....;)
We are a Christain couple, married more than 43 years. We have 4 lovely children & 20 grandchildren. I have been a stay at home mom, since having our first baby. I was working as an LPN when we met. He was asked to retire in Dec of 2001, after 25 years there he worked as a CADD designer of seating layouts. We have found that since retirement we have been busier & have a lot of different adventures than before. We are loving the adventure.
